For Trinity Graves (MPA '25, BSCJ '25), the path to higher education with the University of Management and Technology (UMT) began with a chance encounter. "I was introduced to UMT during a meet-and-greet event with various colleges," he shared, "I actually won a door prize that offered one free class." That scholarship prize led to a deeper exploration of UMT's programs and the start of a new educational journey.

After researching and comparing his options, Trinity found that UMT provided the best path forward. "UMT offered me better options than other colleges after reviewing my life experiences and work-related training," he explained. He also appreciated the tuition reduction available due to his affiliation with a national professional organization, making higher education even more accessible. What truly solidified his decision was the experience of working with UMT's staff. From the start, they were responsive to both emails and phone calls, offering the kind of support he needed while considering his options. That level of attentiveness continued throughout his academic journey and played a major role in his decision to continue to earn a master's degree after completing his bachelor's.

Earning his bachelor's degree at UMT led to tangible career benefits. "Upon completing my degree, my employer provided me with a pay raise," he shared. But beyond the financial rewards, his education at UMT reshaped the way he led his teams and interacted with those around him. "The knowledge I gained has helped me find new, innovative ways to engage with my peers, subordinates, supervisors, and even the community I serve."

There were three major highlights that made Trinity's UMT experience memorable. He praised the knowledgeable and responsive staff, including instructors who were always willing to help. He also valued the flexibility of UMT's extensive online course offerings. The affordability also played a major role. "UMT's tuition is competitive, and they offer scholarships that made earning my degree financially feasible."

What started as a single class quickly evolved into a meaningful and rewarding academic journey. Trinity is eager to continue growing as a leader and a student as he finishes his master's program. He is confident that his education will further enhance his ability to make a meaningful impact on his career and community.
