Danny Chung (DBA '24) was the Global Head of IT Operations in the world's largest Property & Casualty insurance company, leading a team of elite CIOs and 400 IT professionals across 13 countries. Dr. Chung has decades of experience in international Merger & Acquisition (M&A). His last M&A project in Asia was a US$5.6 billion acquisition of a life insurance business across six markets in Asia. He relocated to Hong Kong about a decade ago due to an acquisition of a pension business in Hong Kong, where he led the Enterprise Project Management Office and Information Technology functions. With decades of international business experience, Dr. Danny has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive innovation and operational excellence.
His extensive background in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is particularly noteworthy. Dr. Danny has successfully managed numerous high-profile M&A projects, including a significant $5.6 billion acquisition of a life insurance business spanning six markets in Asia. This experience not only highlights his strategic vision but also showcases his adeptness in navigating complex business landscapes. After relocating to Hong Kong about a decade ago, he assumed leadership of the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) and IT functions following the acquisition of a pension business. Since then, he has led dozens of M&A initiatives globally, with a cumulative worth of hundreds of billions of dollars, establishing himself as a recognized expert in project management within the global financial services and insurance sectors.
