Hong Kong

A practical DBA program and vibrant local university community guided him to reach his full potential.

Kam Chau (Steven) Leung (DBA ‘22) is a civil servant and part-time lecturer who established his own company in 2019. Prior to completing the DBA program at the University of Management and Technology, Steven has pursued various academic programs, including: Master’s degrees in English Language Teaching and Professional Accounting, and a post graduate diploma in education.

Steven attributes the UMT DBA program to helping him develop effective management and pedagogical skills, as well as the ability to guide colleagues in devising their own learning strategies based on personal strengths and weaknesses. He appreciates the opportunity to apply his skills in practice and share his knowledge with others, which has helped him improve his theoretical understanding and guided him in completing his dissertation.

Growing up in a business-oriented family, Steven has always had entrepreneurial dreams and the zeal to realize them. He found classmates who shared his ambition and a vibrant UMT community with amazing thinkers who inspired him. He found networking at the university easy and encourages others to connect and learn from the different people that they meet.

Steven is highly motivated to excel in his learning and is grateful to his family for their support. He has expressed his profound gratitude to the University of Management and Technology for providing him with a valuable opportunity to broaden his perspective and achieve his goals through the DBA program.

"If you're looking to unlock your full potential and reach your highest level of abilities, this DBA program will guide you towards it."
