Student Complaint Resolution (NC-SARA): After exhausting the University’s internal complaint resolution process, a student enrolled in distance education and residing in a state that participates in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) may file a formal complaint with the University’s State Portal Entity, the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). NC-SARA complaints are limited to matters arising from distance education activities offered across state lines under SARA authorization.

Career Advising: The university is committed to supporting its students' professional success. Comprehensive career advising is available upon a student's request from academic advisors and faculty members. This guidance is designed to help students leverage their program of study to advance their current careers or transition into new ones. UMT graduates and alumni can also take part in a mentor program, which provides guidance and support from experienced professionals in their fields facilitated by the UMT Alumni Association. In addition, students are encouraged to join the official UMT LinkedIn and Facebook groups to build connections with alumni and peers, gain industry insights, and explore networking, career development, and job opportunities.
