The University of Management and Technology is pleased to announce that it is a full and active member of the University and Agency Partnership Initiative (UAPI) for the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS) https://www.chds.us/. This partnership allows for interdisciplinary cooperation and information sharing among private Homeland Security institutions, universities and military and government organizations.

“We believe that this partnership further strengthens our Homeland Security degree programs by allowing our students access to myriad academic and real world resources related to their field of study.” Ross Small, UMT’s Faculty and Subject Specialist in Homeland Security who led the effort for UMT to become a member of the UAPI, said, “We also hope soon to become a full institutional member of the Homeland Security Digital Library (HSDL) http://www.hsdl.org/. This will allow all of our Homeland Security students to have full access to over 98,000 Homeland Security policy and strategy documents, including graduate level thesis papers and dissertations; all at no cost to our students. We are confident that these resources will be put to good use by our students and strengthen their learning in unique and complex areas of the Homeland Security discipline.”

The Homeland Security Digital Library is a highly respected resource for data among current Homeland Security practitioners and researchers and includes the most up-to-date information available in the Homeland Security arena. Once UMT joins the HSDL, link to the HSDL material will be included in all Homeland Security program courses.
