The DoD MOU was signed on July 15th by Carolyn Baker, Chief, Voluntary Education Programs, Department of Defense (DoD) and Dr. Yanping Chen, UMT President. Both signatures put the DoD MOU into effect at UMT on 1 January 2012. The DoD MOU has integrated various MOUs that schools have had with the US Armed Forces to support military students to use Tuition Assistance (TA) to pay for their education.
The DoD MOU covers all US Armed Forces. It includes DoD Education, SOC, the Army (including the National Guard and Reserves); the Navy (including Reserves); the Marine Corps (including Reserves; and the Air Force (including the Air National Guard and Reserves).
