ARLINGTON, Virginia, 12 January 2011
UMT is pleased to announce that it has been selected as one of the 2010-2011 Top Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities by the Military Advanced Education (MAE) magazine. UMT is included in the MAE's 4th Annual Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities.
"[It was] the military-friendly policies that led to your being selected for inclusion in Military Advanced Education's 2010-2011 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges and Universities," said MAE Associate Publisher Glenn R. Berlin, "The men and women that serve our nation do so with true devotion and the same can be said of your faculty and staff."
UMT offers military scholarships for military personnel, veterans and spouses. Qualified military personnel and veterans can earn a degree without any out-of-pocket expense after TA, GI Bill, or DANTES benefits are applied. A Book Loan Program is available for active duty personnel. UMT is an LOI school in the GoArmyEd system and a member of Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC). Up to 75% of the required hours for an undergraduate and 50% for a graduate degree can be transferred. UMT follows the AARTS, CCAF and SMART credit guidelines. It accepts CLEP and DSST scores for college credit. Experience waivers are considered as well on a limited basis.
