Overview
This course offers a comprehensive view of developments in quality management over the past fifty years. It looks at the evolution of perspectives on quality, ranging from the simple view that quality is conformance to specifications to more sophisticated perspectives that see quality as a reflection of customer experiences. It highlights key thinkers, theories, and techniques. Finally, the course focuses on how the quality perspectives that arose in the production environment can be applied with equal effectiveness in project environments.
