This course is a continuation of Gov 200. U.S. Government and Politics I. It covers the structure, powers, and processes of the American political system in greater depth. It reviews how the U.S. government has developed over the centuries and how in functions within a federal system that gives substantial powers to state and local governments as well as private organizations and individuals.
