UMT Receives Renewal of Accreditation from DEAC
ARLINGTON, VA, February 27, 2026
The University of Management and Technology (UMT) has received affirmation of the renewal of institutional accreditation from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). In a letter dated February 27, 2026, DEAC reported that the Accrediting Commission met on January 30, 2026, and voted to renew UMT’s accreditation through January 2031.
DEAC noted that UMT “has demonstrated its commitment to educational standards and ethical business practices that assure quality, accountability, and improvement in higher education.”
The renewal of accreditation applies to UMT’s associate, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs, as well as its undergraduate and graduate academic certificate programs.
“We are pleased to receive the renewal of accreditation from DEAC,” said Dr. Yanping Chen, President of UMT. “This recognition reflects the dedication of our faculty and staff, and our continued commitment to delivering high‑quality, accessible distance education to students worldwide.”
