This course provides an introduction to the role of information
technology in contemporary organizations. There is a review of
the history of computers, the evolution of management
information systems, and basic information on software
development. The course describes using the Internet and
creating web pages. It provides a brief overview of principles of communication management and effective use of information technology in the workplace and covers trends in the development and deployment of information systems.
