Students taking Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification courses can apply these courses, with academic credit, towards one or more of the following UMT programs:
*For those who do not possess an associate's degree, UMT offers an Associate of Business Administration (ABA) degree.

The following DAU courses will receive transfer credits that can be applied to a degree (number of credits that will be transferred is indicated in parentheses):

UMT offers a Military Scholarship Program for eligible, active duty military, serving in the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, National Guard, and Reserves. Military Veterans are also eligible for the UMT Military Scholarship. As of December 19, 2005, UMT extended its Military Scholarship program to include spouses of active duty personnel.
The UMT Military Scholarship awards tuition assistance of 35% of the costs, reducing the cost per academic credit-hour from $390 to $250. Students who are approved for Tuition Assistance (TA) or with Montgomery G.I. Bill benefits should have no out of pocket expenses to matriculate in the UMT program.
Provisions of this program are:
Active duty personnel: For students who submit a statement of need indicating the cost of textbooks would prove to be a hardship, the UMT Military Book Scholarship will provide textbooks at no additional cost.
