In addition to post-secondary courses
and military training, relevant professional and work
experience may qualify for transfer credit to the undergraduate
degree programs. A student seeking credit for work
experience must submit a succinct written justification
and provide documentary support for consideration by
the Admissions Committee. A maximum of 30 semester
credit-hours may be granted.
Course Waiver
Some students may possess extraordinary life experiences
that may enable them to waive some courses. Students
must submit a written petition requesting that a course
be waived, offering a succinct justification for the
waiver and providing documentary support for consideration
by the Admissions Committee. The Admissions Committee
will determine whether or not to waive courses in areas
where students have demonstrated expertise, consistent
with the accreditation standards of the DETC.
No more than four ABA degree courses (12 credit-hours)
can be waived. No more than two core BBA courses (6
credit-hours) can be waived. No more than two courses
(6 credit-hours) in the BBA major area of concentration
may be waived. For the Graduate Division, no more than
two courses (6 credit-hours) may be waived.
Course waivers may be granted
that include the provision of transfer credit. In
some cases, the student must
take substitute courses.
