Application Requirements

International students must be able to do graduate-level work in English. They must provide proof of their ability by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

The Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) requires international students who study in the United States:

  • to be enrolled full time
  • to obtain authorization from the INS before becoming employed if they are on F-1 status
  • to notify the INS when they terminate their attendance at the university

International students who wish to study in the United States should have sufficient funds available to cover expenses for one full year before attempting to enter a degree program. The cost of tuition at this University for one academic year is approximately $7,020. International students also need to take into account of other expenses, such as living expenses (i.e., food, housing and utilities) in the range of $13,200. Other incidental expenses, such as books, study supplies and health insurance, may cost about $2,000 per academic year.
