UMT Participates in the 2008 PMI North America Congress

ARLINGTON, Virginia, October 19, 2008 – The University of Management and Technology participated in the 2008 PMI North America Congress in Denver, Colorado from 19-21 Oct 2008. General Colin Powell made the opening keynote speech. Nearly 4,000 attendees were present at the congress.

At the congress, UMT representatives greeted a large number of people and helped them understand UMT’s academic and training programs.

UMT’s President, Dr. Yanping Chen was present at the congress as the Vice Chair of the PMI Board of the Directors. UMT Academic Dean, Dr. J. Davidson Frame delivered a presentation “The Need for High Impact Acquisition Reform in the Federal Government” at the Defense and Aerospace SIG. The presentation focused on new directions in the U.S. Civilian Agency and Department of Defense Acquisition management processes.
