UMT Becomes a Defense Acquisiton University Excelerate Program Partner
ARLINGTON,
Virginia, September 17, 2008 – The
University of Management and Technology (UMT)
becomes one of the six university partners
who participate in the Defense Acquisition
University (DAU)’s new Excelerate Program.
The
Excelerate Program is a new DAU program which
includes universities that allow students
taking the DAU courses toward Defense Acquisition
Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification
to earn academic credits towards master degrees
and certificates. Being a partner in the
Excelerate Program, UMT allows DAU courses
toward Level II and Level III certification
to transfer toward UMT master degrees and
master level certificates such as:
- Master
of Public Administration
- Master of Science in
Management, Project Management
- Master of Science
in Management, Acquisition Management
- Master
of Science in Information Technology, IT
Project Management
- Master of Business Administration
- Master
of Business Administration, Project Management
- Graduate
Certificate in Project Management
UMT
formed the strategic partnership with the
DAU in January
2004. The partnership
centers around DAU coursework that UMT
will allow members of the Department of
Defense
(DoD) Acquisition, Technology and Logistics
(AT&L) workforce to transfer towards
UMT bachelor and master degrees and graduate
and executive level certificates.
