UMT Launches Criminal Justice Administration Concentration under BBA
ARLINGTON,
Virginia, April 23, 2008 – DETC
approved UMT to enroll students in the Criminal
Justice Administration (CJA) area of concentration
under the Bachelor of Business Administration
(BBA) degree.
Employment opportunities for
the criminal justice field have been growing
steadily since 2001,
partly due to the increased demand for
public safety and crime prevention. Students
who
are interested in pursuing administrative
and management positions within the criminal
justice system will benefit from the CJA
concentration of study.
This concentration
provides students with a specialist program
focusing on criminal
justice administration. Students are
required to take Mgt 102 Legal Environment
of Business
and psychology or sociology as pre-requisites,
as well as five of the following courses:

CJ 115. Introduction to Corrections
CJ 120. Introduction to Criminal Justice

CJ 145. Constitutional Law
CJ 150. Introduction to Forensic Science
CJ 155. Criminal Courts System
CJ 160. Criminal Investigation
CJ 170. Criminal Procedure
