UMT BBA Program Gains Recognition from the Hong Kong Education Bureau
ARLINGTON,
Virginia, July 11, 2007 – The
University of Management and Technology (UMT)
is pleased to announce that its Bachelor of
Business Administration (BBA) program has gained
recognition of the Education Bureau (formerly
Education and Manpower Bureau, EMB) of the
Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative
Region of the People’s Republic of China.
The
application process to gain such recognition
from the HK Education
Bureau took more a year
joint effort of the UMT and the Interactive
Education (HK) Ltd, UMT’s Hong Kong Representative
Office. Under the leadership of Mr. Charles
Huang and Mr. Tony Hui, the application team
demonstrated that the UMT BBA program is in
accordance with the Section 10 of the Non-local
Higher and Professional Education Ordinance.
UMT’s BBA is now registered at the Education
Bureau. The EMB registration number is 261639.
With
the recognition of the Hong Kong Education
Bureau, UMT will start publicly recruiting
students in Hong Kong. And, Hong Kong students
will be eligible to receive government funding
to study in the UMT BBA program.
