UMT Participates in Sugar Grove Education Fair
ARLINGTON,
Virginia, May 7, 2007 – To
support local military education, UMT participated
in the second annual education fair at the
Sugar Grove Naval Base in West Virginia on
May 4, 2007.
At the fair, UMT representatives,
Dr. C. Eric Kirkland and Mrs. Connie Mills
represented
UMT academic and training programs to hundreds
of military personnel and high school students
who attended the event. Dr. Kirkland and Ms.
Mills also met with the Education Service Officer
(ESO) at the Sugar Grove Education Center.
Mrs.
Mills commented about attending the fair, “We
have a substantial number of students from
Sugar Grove. So this is a great opportunity
to meet them face-to-face and answer some of
their questions.”
“UMT is popular among
military personnel, as we provide substantial
tuition and book
scholarship to military students and their
spouses attending our degree programs.” Dr.
Kirkland pointed out.“In 2006 alone,
UMT’s military scholarship mounted close
to one million dollars.” To view UMT’s
