Special Awards to Students from China Space Program

ARLINGTON,
Virginia, November 3, 2003 - On November
2, 2003, a graduation ceremony for the second
class in the UMT-Peking
University MS program with the major in Project
Management was held at Peking University, Beijing,
China. Dr. Yanping Chen and Dr. J. Davidson
Frame attended the ceremony and gave speech
to the students.
During the ceremony,
students from the 2nd class in the program
were awarded UMT Master’s
Degree diplomas. Over 15 students and alumni
who work in the China space program were given
special awards during the ceremony. The awards
were given by Peking University to congratulate
these men and women on their contributions
to the recent launch of China’s first
man-flight mission, Shenzou-5, into the space.
Over 160 students and faculty attended the
ceremony. So far, the UMT-Peking program has
successfully launched 4 classes.
