UMT
Approved for G.I. Bill Program
ARLINGTON, VA, February
25, 2003 - The University of Management
and Technology has been approved for Veterans
Administration
G.I. Bill Education Benefits.
The following UMT programs
have been approved:
Master
of Science in Management, Master
of Business Administration, Master
of Science in Computer Science, Master
of Science in Information Technology, Graduate
Certificate in Project Management,
Executive
Certificate in Project Management.
"We're very pleased to be able to offer
this program to our students," said UMT
Vice President C. Eric Kirkland. "For
years, we've had military personnel who have
wanted to take our courses, but we have been
unable to provide federal assistance to them."
The G.I. Bill program provides up to 36 months
of educational benefits for eligible military
personnel, both veterans and active duty personnel.
Benefits generally are available for 10 years
following a person's release from active duty.
"This approval really opens up our courses
to many more military personnel, both here
in the Washington area and overseas," Dr.
Kirkland said. "Our goal is to provide
an exceptional educational opportunity for
our nation's current and former military personnel.
All of our programs are available online, so
students are able to logon from anywhere in
the world and earn their degree."
