Second Class Begins in UMT-Beijing University Program

Total Program Enrollment Now Tops 100

ARLINGTON, Virginia, June 1, 2002 - A second class of students started the UMT-Beijing University graduate program in project management on May 30.

UMT Beijing University Program Second Class

A class of more than 50 Chinese students began taking courses as part of the Master of Science in Project Management program. This program is being taught by UMT and Beijing University faculty.

The students form a cohort, taking courses together throughout the program. In January, the first class of 50 students kicked off the program at Beijing University.

"Beijing University is the one of the most prestigious universities in China, equivalent to Harvard University," said UMT President Yanping Chen. "They chose UMT to be their US education partner because they believe we have the best project management degree program in the world.

"We are happy that such a world-class university recognizes the high quality of our program," she added. "We are honored to work with them on this effort."
