Students
Graduate in Winter 2001 Commencement
Hudacsko
receives Dean's Award
ARLINGTON, Virginia,
March 10, 2001 - UMT recently graduated three students
as part of its Winter 2001 Commencement.
Rachel Kahn, Ken Hudacsko, and Geoffroy Philippart
received Master of Science in Management degrees
with majors in Project Management.
"Rachel, Geoffroy and Ken have been excellent
students," said UMT Academic Dean J. Davidson
Frame. "We've enjoyed having them in our
classes, and wish them good luck in their future
endeavors."
Philippart praised UMT for its high quality
education and dedication to its students.
"I am very happy to have done my master's
degree with a university that is so dedicated
to its students," he said. "It has
been a pleasure all along. The teachers are
very professional and extremely competent,
thank you for sharing all that knowledge."
Hudacsko, who works as a management analyst
at the US General Accounting Office, said he
has found his experience at UMT extremely valuable
for his work.
"It is delightful to hold in my hand
the tangible product of our past years working
together, particularly as I think back on how
UMT has simulated my thinking, broadened my
perspective and provided a refreshing oasis
in the midst of daily getting the job done," he
said.
Dr. Frame awarded Hudacsko the Dean's Award
for his service in creating the UMT Student
Council. Mr. Hudacsko drew up the council's
bylaws and constitution and previously served
as its chairperson.
"We really feel indebted to Ken for all
his hard work," Frame said. "The
council has been a valuable partner in helping
UMT's administration and assisting in the university's
growth.
Hudacsko added, "I
came to UMT because I recognized a unique
opportunity to participate
in the founding and growth of the university.
So it has been especially satisfying to have
been able, in a small way, to contribute to
that growth myself.
"By helping the Student Council come
into being and take its first fledgling steps,
I hope I have been able to promote a better
experience for students and start a tradition
that will be a part of UMT life for future
generations of students," Hudacsko added.
