Asrat Joins
UMT's Faculty Corps
ARLINGTON, Virginia,
July 26, 1999 - UMT
Academic Dean J. Davidson Frame announces the
appointment of Dr. Kinfe-Michael Asrat to the
university's Faculty Corps.
Dr. Asrat is an expert in the management of
large programs and projects; the interaction
of budgets, schedules, and resource allocations;
and success factor in mega-projects.
He has previously taught
at The George Washington University's School
of Engineering and Applied
Sciences. Dr. Asrat has taught management seminars
for 6,000 professionals. Dr. Asrat has conducted
training and consulting with major companies,
including ESI, AT&T, IBM, Bellcore, Bell
South, Citibank (Singapore), ABB, Nokia, Erikson,
Volvo, and Scanska.
Dr. Asrat has a doctorate of science from the
School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, The
George Washington University (1986); a master's
degree in Engineering Administration from GWU
(1977); a master of science degree from the Moscow
Civil Engineering Institute (1974); and a bachelor
of science from Moscow Civil Engineering Institute
(1973). He performed doctoral research at MIT's
Sloan School of Management in 1985.
