Online education is a challenging and exciting undertaking. UMT's faculty who teach online are e-education deliverers and familiar with students' distance learning needs and behaviors. They are more than merely educators and instructors, they are also the leaders of learning teams and the builders of UMT's e-learning community.

UMT requires faculty who teach online courses to:

• possess excellent computer and Internet skills
• deliver courses with high academic standards
• have excellent skills in written communications
• respect students' diverse e-learning styles
• work closely with students, either through e-mail or by telephone
• make the learning experience as enjoyable as possible
